In a delightful exploration of creativity and collaboration, our PreK students took on the exciting challenge of redesigning their playground. As part of the PYP inquiry unit How We Express Ourselves, the young learners first assessed their needs and preferences for the space, then got hands-on with the redesign process. They didn’t just stop at the planning stage—they also planted the garden themselves and utilized the iWood space in our elementary school to construct playground equipment.

This project was a wonderful blend of imagination, environmental stewardship, and practical skills, as students brought their visions to life. It was inspiring to see their ideas bloom both in the classroom and in the playground!
