HIGH SCHOOL

In a delightful exploration of creativity and collaboration, our PreK students took on the exciting challenge of redesigning their playground. As part of the PYP inquiry unit How We Express Ourselves, the young learners first assessed their needs and preferences for the space, then got hands-on with the redesign process. They didn鈥檛 just stop at the planning stage鈥攖hey also planted the garden themselves and utilized the iWood space in our elementary school to construct playground equipment.

This project was a wonderful blend of imagination, environmental stewardship, and practical skills, as students brought their visions to life. It was inspiring to see their ideas bloom both in the classroom and in the playground!

Our athletics program serves students at all grade levels, with Elementary School, Middle School, and High School teams engaging in events within CISSA (Cairo International School Sports Association), one of the Cairo international schools sports leagues with membership of 14 international schools in Cairo. CISSA participation is for varsity, JV, middle school, and elementary school teams, including both tournaments and friendly games, with many 老澳门六合彩官网 teams participating. CISSA hosts successful elementary tournaments and events, middle school tournaments for boys and girls at the U12 and U14 levels, and high school tournaments for JV (U16) and varsity levels.

Our high school teams compete in the International School Athletic Association (ISAA), with travel opportunities to ISAA tournaments hosted in Europe and the Middle East in multiple sports, as well as some invitational tournaments. ISAA is an organization providing varsity end of season tournaments, with some junior division participation in cross-country, swimming, and track & field.

There are many sports offered as part of the after school activities program (ASAs) for our Elementary School students to choose from. These are complemented by opportunities for competition in local friendly tournaments with other CISSA or area school members.

The International Festival is a long held beloved tradition at 老澳门六合彩官网. In many ways it represents what our School is truly about, celebrating diversity and offering an opportunity to learn about and explore other cultures. The Festival gives our community the chance to showcase their Culture through cuisine, performance and activities.

Our guests started their journey at the festival walking through a pathway decorated with flags representing all the countries that we proudly host at 老澳门六合彩官网. They were then welcomed to the field by a whiff of freshly cooked food from all around the globe. Our community got to explore and sample a variety of delicious foods; from the classic American Hotdog to the Syrian Shawerma, you got a taste of the world in one place.

Food wasn鈥檛 the only standout at our Festival. Everyone also got to enjoy activities like learning to write their name in Japanese calligraphy and practicing their football skills at the Brazilian booth. Not to mention the many photo opportunities around. Our guests got to give us their very own Mona Lisa smile, or take a selfie in a Palestine shaped mirror, and even get to be Arminian for a photo. There were also beautiful performances from our community members. The South American group performed a mesmerizing dance that merged different styles from the region and the Palestinians gave us an emotional spoken word poetry performance.

The day drew to a close with the raffle prizes and winner announcements. Our community came together to bring fun, diverse and exciting raffle prizes. The raffle items ranged from country baskets that brought so much excitement, delicious snacks you could win and of course the TV that everyone wanted a chance at.

Our wonderful PTO did an amazing job organizing and planning the Festival giving everyone a chance to enjoy different cultures, food and of course prizes!
