Understanding that the school library plays an integral role in the learning journey of our students, the ES and MHS libraries are both consistently looking for new innovative ways to stay up to date and to continue to meet the needs of our highly able learners. 
We understand that our library resources have an inevitably substantial impact on the students educational achievement as well as their social and emotional wellbeing.

ES LIBRARY

The Elementary School Library is a place for inquiry and learning to support our Primary Years Programme. The PYP library provides resources to support the units of inquiry and independent reading. All students are encouraged to follow their individual interests and passions in book selection.

The PYP librarian supports the units of inquiry with weekly lessons related to the grade levels unit of inquiry, reinforcing concepts and the Approaches to Learning (ATLs). The ATLs include thinking, research, communication, social as well as self management skills. The library is also a place to explore and reinforce our PYP learner profile, becoming caring, inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, risk-takers, balanced and reflective individuals.

MHS LIBRARY

The MHS library was also carefully tailored to cater to the needs of all ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø community members. This includes students, staff and parents as well. Wall colors, seating arrangements, book placements and the overall library layout are all designed in a specific way to induce a love for reading, studying and learning, and to promote collaborative as well as individual study.

Moreover, the MHS library hosts several community organizations / groups including: Silent Sustained Reading for MS, Extended Essays for IB students, BOB (Battle of the Books) as well as numerous parent book clubs. Our libraries are open to all community members, encouraging everyone to continue to experience exceptional education in a diverse and caring community.

Learning at ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø takes place in a challenging, yet supportive environment that fosters inquiry-based teaching and learning. Every stage of the process is important, and student needs are sensitively met. Being a Primary Years Program  (PYP) school, our curriculum has been designed to provide outstanding educational opportunities that will help every student to reach their potential. The key to success is providing the right learning environment staffed by caring and knowledgeable teachers who love to teach and nurture each child’s academic and social learning.

We treat Literacy and Numeracy as high priority learning areas, knowing that the skills and concepts developed during classroom programs underpin learning across the curriculum.

Our Student Service team includes; English Language Learning teachers, Student Support, speech and language pathologists and counsellors. The team works in partnership with class teachers and parents to ensure school success for students in supporting and extending learning.

To keep our young students active and buzzing, we also offer a range of specialist programs -Art, Physical Education and Swimming, Music, Library, integrated Technology across the curriculum, Arabic and Egypt Culture.

Our Elementary After School Enrichment program (ASA) will not only enhance your child’s education but will also add to their overall experience at ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø. Teachers from Elementary, Middle and High school are looking forward to providing an engaging enrichment opportunity for ES students.

Our 3-4 year old children develop a strong sense of belonging and ownership in a diverse and caring community. We provide an exceptional education where our youngest learners spark joy, wonder, inquiry and curiosity. Beautiful friendships develop as the children truly flourish in our special program.

COUNSELING

The ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø Elementary Counselors work in collaboration with students, parents, and staff to provide a comprehensive counseling program that aligns with our approaches to learning. We seek to instill our learner profile's values in our students to promote a positive contribution to a global world by fostering culturally, socially and environmentally minded, responsible and respectful young adults who have a sense of confidence and aspire to take an active role in creating a brighter future.
