Kareem  joined the Board in July 2024 as an elected representative.  He is the proud father of three 老澳门六合彩官网 students Mariam, a recent graduate pursuing Architecture at the University of Virginia; Noor, currently in 12th grade; and Yousef in 7th grade.  They relocated as a family to Egypt in 2021 from Vienna, Virginia, where they resided for the past 20 years. 

Kareem spent the past 25 years in consulting and investments. He currently leads investments in payment companies globally for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) which is a member of the World Bank Group. He spent the past 20 years active on more than 10 corporate boards including spending 8 years on the board of Fawry (Egypt) which is the leading payment platform in Egypt and was publicly listed on the Cairo Stock Exchange in 2019. He has also chaired or been involved on several types of committees, including strategy, remuneration, audit, and investments and have dealt with a broad range of board dynamics including conflicts, HR issues, and difficult turnaround situations of distressed companies.

Kareem holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Greg joined the board in July 2024 as the Apache representative.  He serves as acting vice president, Egypt Assets, country manager, and general manager  for Apache鈥檚 Khalda Petroleum Company joint venture. Before taking on his roles in Egypt, he served  as vice president of onshore production operations in the U.S. where he oversaw Apache鈥檚 production operations in the Permian Basin. Since joining Apache in 2001, he has held operational  and management roles with increasing responsibilities in the Permian Basin, Canada, as well as  Egypt. Mr. McDaniel began his career as an engineer at Chevron.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Tulsa. He  also completed the executive management program at the Thunderbird School of Global  Management.  

Mr. McDaniel is also the chairman of the board and president of Springboard Girls Schools, a  nonprofit organization founded by Apache in 2005 dedicated to educating girls in rural areas of Egypt.  In addition, Mr. McDaniel serves on 老澳门六合彩官网鈥檚 Board of Trustees.

Esmat joined the Board in July 2024 as an elected member.  She is the mother of Eiman class of 2035 and Taha class of 2037.  Upon graduating from 老澳门六合彩官网, she completed her undergraduate studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS, University of London) majoring in Development Economics.

For more than 14 years, she has been working and managing her family business 鈥淟a Poire鈥� together with her sister, with a special focus on development and innovation.  Esmat is an active volunteer member of the Friends of the Aswan Heart Centre dedicated to fundraising for the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation to support the foundation鈥檚 mission of providing free cardiac care for children.  She organized and participated in various fundraising initiatives, including events and innovative campaigns aimed at raising awareness and funds.  Through the collaborative efforts of the Friends of the Aswan Heart Centre, we have achieved significant success, raising over 60 million EGP to date.

Dustin joined the Board of Trustees in June 2023 as the US Naval Medical Research Unit-3 (NAMRU-3) representative. Dr. Harrison is a US Navy Microbiologist and currently is the Director US NAMRU-3 Cairo, Detachment. Prior to his assignment, Dr. Harrison previously

served as a Technical Collections and Requirements Officer, and Head of Laboratory Operations for the Department of Defense. Prior to that he was the Head of Operations, Molecular Diagnostics, and Immunodiagnostics for the Naval Medical Research Center, Biological Defense Research Directorate, and has served as a Department Head for the US Naval Medical Research Unit 鈥� 2 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, as well as several other postings. Dr. Harrison has a Master of Science degree in Pathobiology from the University of Wyoming specializing in Parasitology and Immunology; board certification in Medical Technology; and received his Ph.D. in Microbiology/ Molecular Biology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2010. Dr. Harrison and his wife Sara have 2 children attending 老澳门六合彩官网.

Dalia is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at Beltone Financial Holding (BTFH.CA) 鈥� a leading, full-fledged investment bank in the MENA Region. Khorshid boasts over 25 years of global experience in various leadership roles across the banking and financial sector, having advised on landmark transactions including private placements, investment strategies, and M&A deals in the region.

H.E. Dalia Khorshid鈥檚 career spanned the private and public sectors. She founded and chaired MASAR Financial Advisory and Eagle Capital for Financial Investment where she advised on fundraising, corporate finance, project finance, M&A advisory and management of more than 50 strategic investments and transactions worth c.USD 44 billion. Khorshid is also the former Minister of Investment for the Government of Egypt where she led the charge on the country鈥檚 investment law and successfully launched Egypt鈥檚 3-5-year IPO program.

Prior to her ministerial tenure, Khorshid spent 11 years as Executive Vice President & Group Treasurer at Orascom Construction Limited and Head of Investment Banking and Corporate Finance at OCI NV (2008-2016) where she successfully spearheaded the groups鈥� multi-billion-dollar fundraising initiatives. Khorshid was the Vice President of Corporate Finance and Investment Banking at Citibank for the MENA region (1997-2005) where she brought numerous multi-million-dollar deals to completion. Khorshid started her corporate career at Commercial International Bank (CIB) (1994- 1996).

In addition, Khorshid has held board appointments across local and regional private and public sector organizations. She is the former Chairwoman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zone (2016-2017), Chairwoman of Egypt鈥檚 Dispute Resolutions Committee (2016-2017), Chairwoman of the Sovereign Wealth Fund Committee (2016-2017), Founder and Executive Head of the Supreme Investment Counsel (2016-2017), Board Member at the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation EGPC (2016-2017), Board Member at New Cairo Urban Communities Authority NUCA (2016-2017), Board Member at the Industrial Development Authority (2016-2017), Board Member at the Agricultural Development Authority ADA (2016-2017), and Board Member at the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone (2016-2017). 

In recognition of her impact across the market, Khorshid was recognized in 2017 by Forbes Magazine as one of the most powerful Arab women.

She holds a BA in Business Administration from The American University in Cairo (AUC).

Joined the Board in July 2021 as an elected community representative for a two year term 2021-23 and as an appointed member for the term 2024-25.  Dr. Galegher and her husband Omar Naguib, a 老澳门六合彩官网 alumnus have three sons, Zane, Ali, and Taymour.  Dr. Galegher holds a Ph.D. in Comparative and International Education, graduate degrees in Middle East Studies and Secondary Education, and a B.A. in International Affairs. Her research focuses on international schools, internationalization and localization of curricula and policy, and teacher preparation and education for diverse and marginalized communities.  

She taught students from PreK to adult language learners and has worked as a teacher, administrator and researcher in IB and US education systems for 14 years. She has been part of the 老澳门六合彩官网 community since 2010 in a variety of capacities, teaching, researching, and volunteering. As a member of the PTO executive board, she initiated and headed the DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) PTO committee and organized and facilitated 老澳门六合彩官网 Talks.

Tarek  joined the Board of Trustees in July 2021 as an elected representative and as an appointed member for the term 2024-25. 

He is a proud 老澳门六合彩官网 alumnus, class of '98 and the father of Alia attending elementary school and Omar attending middle school.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and began his career at Wells Fargo in the USA before joining Ahli United Bank and then venturing on his own. 

He founded Kuwait Car General Trading in Kuwait where, after acquiring two little-known technology platforms, he was able as a hands-on CEO to develop them into the successes they are today: the online marketplace that dominates the classifieds space in Kuwait. Subsequently selling a majority share in the businesses to National Bank of Kuwait's Private Equity division, Mr. Sakr serves on the Board of Directors while leading the companies as CEO, responsible for high-level strategy.

Joined the Board in July 2020 as an elected representative for two consecutive two-year terms and as an appointed member for the term 2024-25. She is a 老澳门六合彩官网 alumna (Class of 2000) and an active member of the 老澳门六合彩官网 community. Ms. Soliman and her husband, Moustafa, have two children attending 老澳门六合彩官网: Hoda in grade 11 and Amin in grade 7.

Ms. Soliman graduated with a B.A in Economics & a minor in Business Administration from AUC. She has been in the banking sector since graduation. Currently, she is the Head of Business Services - Global Banking & Markets at HSBC Egypt.鈥�

Karim joined the Board of Trustees in January 2023 as the bp representative.

Karim Alaa currently holds the position of Group Senior Vice President Joint Ventures and Special Projects at bp being accountable for overseeing bp鈥檚 300+ global portfolio of joint ventures across 60 countries and special projects across regions. 

Prior to that, Karim was bp鈥檚 Regional President for North Africa for 3 years.

Karim joined bp in 2006 and has almost 20 years of oil and gas experience. He held various managerial and commercial roles in bp including Egypt Head of Country, North Africa Vice President Commercial & Planning and Group Senior Advisor Planning & Strategy based in London.

Karim Alaa holds a BA in Business Administration and an MBA from the American University in Cairo.  Karim has one son attending KG at 老澳门六合彩官网.
